Kimpton Mirador rolls out new amenities in Pacific Grove, from aromatherapy mist to Big Sur picnic trips
The 99-room hotel, which opened in January, adds a hospitality suite, fitness partnerships, and curated coastal experiences.

The Kimpton Mirador, the 99-room hotel that opened in Pacific Grove on Jan. 28, has rolled out a wave of new amenities and programming this fall, leaning into the town's coastal character.
The September rollout includes the Monarch Room, a dedicated hospitality suite; an olive oil cake with a handwritten note waiting at check-in; a coastal aromatherapy mist in the guest rooms; and 22 distinct room styles outfitted with Atelier Bloom and Parachute products.

A partnership with Monterey Bay Moves brings yoga, sound baths, fitness classes and guided nature walks. The hotel also runs its Kimpton Kickstart morning coffee and evening Social hours, offers complimentary bikes, and sells curated experiences including a Whale Watching and Picnic for Two, a Big Sur Picnic Road Trip, and the Mirador Masterpiece art program.
The hotel's restaurant, The Caledonian, is led by Chef Aaron Rayor. The building's Spanish Revival design comes from studio Narrative.

General Manager Julia Chaland welcomed the town at the January opening. "The doors are open, and it's incredibly exciting to see guests and locals experiencing the hotel for the first time. We've created a place where Pacific Grove's history and spirit meet modern luxury. Watching the hotel come to life has been a dream, and we're thrilled to officially welcome the community inside," Chaland said.
